Skin Blemish Removal
Restoring Clear Skin Safely and Effectively Without Surgery
Minor skin imperfections—such as skin tags, milia, thread veins, or warts—are incredibly common. While they are usually completely harmless from a medical standpoint, they can sometimes cause physical discomfort by catching on jewellery and clothing, or they may simply bother you when you look in the mirror.
At US:KIN Clinic, we believe you shouldn't have to spend time concealing or worrying about these minor imperfections. We offer advanced electrolysis, also known as short-wave diathermy. This is a non-surgical, clinically proven technique that precisely and efficiently removes skin blemishes, leaving the surrounding healthy skin untouched.
Blemish Removal at a Glance
Common Blemishes We Can Clear
Advanced electrolysis is a remarkably versatile method that can be safely used on almost any area of the face or body.
We frequently treat:
Skin Tags & Warts: Small, benign growths that often appear in areas of friction, such as the neck, underarms, or groin.
Milia: Tiny, hard, pearly white cysts trapped just under the surface of the skin, often around the delicate eye area.
Thread Veins & Broken Capillaries: Small, dilated blood vessels that appear near the surface of the skin, often on the cheeks or around the nose.
Blood Spots (Campbell de Morgan): Smooth, bright red vascular spots that commonly appear on the torso as we get older.
Age Spots & Pigmentation: Small flat areas of discolouration caused by sun exposure over time.
Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN) & Seborrheic Keratosis: Common, benign skin plaques that can vary in colour from light tan to dark brown.
How Advanced Electrolysis Works
The procedure does not require any incisions, stitches, or surgical scalpel work. Instead, it relies on a highly precise heat energy delivery system:
Precision Targeting: A micro-fine needle probe—no thicker than a single eyelash—is gently placed directly onto or into the blemish.
Controlled Thermolysis: A tiny, controlled pulse of high-frequency electrical current passes through the probe. This heat energy carefully coagulates the blood supply to the blemish or gently breaks down the unwanted tissue superficially.
Natural Dispersal: For vascular blemishes like thread veins, the vessel is instantly closed down and absorbed by the body. For lesions like skin tags or warts, the tissue is safely destroyed at the root, allowing it to naturally dry up and lift away over the following days.
What to Expect
The Professional Consultation
Every journey begins with an honest, face-to-face assessment. We will carefully examine the areas that concern you to ensure they are benign and suitable for advanced electrolysis. If we have any clinical uncertainties regarding the nature of a spot or mole, we will always advise you openly and refer you to an appropriate medical specialist for a formal check before proceeding.
The Procedure
To ensure your experience is as comfortable as possible, a topical numbing cream is applied to the skin roughly 30 minutes before we begin. The procedure itself is incredibly quick, taking only about five to ten minutes per individual blemish.
Healing & Aftercare
When you leave the clinic, the initial blemish will have been treated, and the natural healing process begins immediately. You will be provided with clear, practical aftercare instructions to help manage the area. A small crust or tiny scab will form over the site, which typically heals and naturally flakes away within a week.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the treatment painful?
Because we apply a highly effective numbing cream beforehand, the discomfort is minimal. Most clients describe the sensation during the brief pulse of energy as a minor stinging or warm prickle, which resolves almost instantly.
Will the removal leave a scar?
Because advanced electrolysis works very superficially and precisely without damaging the deeper structural layers of the skin, the risk of scarring is exceptionally low. Once the initial crust flakes away naturally, the fresh skin underneath may temporarily look slightly pink before gradually blending into your normal skin tone.
Can the blemishes come back?
Once a skin tag, blood spot, or thread vein has been fully treated at the root, that specific blemish is gone permanently. However, if your skin is naturally prone to certain types of imperfections—due to friction, genetics, or sun exposure—new ones may still develop in other areas over time.
