Electrolysis
The Established, Clinically Proven Method for Truly Permanent Hair Removal
Dealing with unwanted facial or body hair can be a daily frustration. While methods like shaving, plucking, and waxing offer short-term relief, they require endless upkeep and can often lead to irritated skin, ingrown hairs, or shadow marks.
At US:KIN Clinic, we offer medical electrolysis—the only hair removal method legally permitted to be described as permanently removing hair. It is a highly precise, time-tested treatment that works entirely independently of hair colour or skin tone, making it a reliable choice for anyone looking to clear unwanted hair for good.

How Electrolysis Works
Unlike laser treatments that target hair pigment, electrolysis works mechanically and independently of hair or skin colour.
Precision Insertion: A micro-fine, sterile probe is gently guided down into the natural opening of the hair follicle without piercing the skin.
Targeted Energy: A tiny pulse of electrical current (short-wave diathermy) is delivered to the base of the follicle, safely destroying the cells and blood supply that nourish the hair.
Permanent Removal: The hair is lifted out with tweezers. Once the growth centre is destroyed, the follicle cannot produce another hair.
Why are multiple sessions necessary?
Hair grows in cycles. Electrolysis can only permanently destroy a follicle when the hair is in its active growth phase. Because follicles enter this phase at different times, a structured series of appointments is essential to treat every hair successfully.
What to Expect
The Consultation:
We assess the treatment area, discuss your medical history, and outline an honest, realistic treatment plan tailored to your hair density.
The Sensation:
You will feel a brief, warm stinging sensation as the current is applied. The discomfort is fleeting and ends the moment the pulse finishes.
Aftercare:
The area may look slightly pink or bumpy immediately afterwards. We apply a soothing antibacterial gel and advise avoiding makeup, heat treatments, and friction for the first 24 hours to allow the skin to settle.
