PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Treatment for Face

Supporting Skin Health from Within, Naturally

As time passes, our skin naturally loses collagen and elastin, which can lead to a loss of volume, fine lines, and changes in texture. At U Skin Clinic, we believe the most authentic way to address these signs of ageing is to support your body's innate capacity for repair.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a restorative facial treatment that uses the concentrated growth factors from your own blood to stimulate cellular renewal. By working in harmony with your biology, PRP encourages your skin to rebuild its own support structure—gradually improving firmness, softening lines, and restoring a healthy, well-rested radiance.

What to Expect

The Personal Consultation

Every individual’s skin is unique. We begin with a face-to-face consultation to understand your skin health, discuss your goals, and ensure PRP is the right path for you. We often find that combining techniques creates the most honest, effective results, so we will build a plan tailored entirely to you.

Gathering the Plasma

The procedure begins with drawing a small amount of blood from your arm, much like a routine medical blood test. The vial is placed into a centrifuge machine, which spins at high speed. This process gently separates the blood into three distinct layers, allowing us to isolate the golden, platelet-rich plasma at the top.

The Treatment

The concentrated plasma is then carefully administered across the targeted areas of your face. While the procedure is generally well-tolerated, we can apply a topical numbing cream beforehand to ensure you remain comfortable throughout.

FAQs

Is PRP treatment safe?

Because the treatment relies entirely on your own blood, there is virtually no risk of an allergic reaction, rejection, or side effects from foreign substances. It is one of the most natural and well-tolerated therapies available.

When will I begin to see improvements?

Because PRP relies on your body’s natural collagen production, results appear gradually rather than overnight. Most clients notice a visible improvement in skin texture and tone within about three weeks, while the deeper collagen framework can take up to three months to fully mature.

How long do the results last?

While individual responses vary based on lifestyle and skin condition, the progressive benefits of a full course of treatments can last up to 24 months. Regular touch-ups every few months can help maintain this healthy foundation.

What is the downtime?

You may experience mild to moderate redness or slight swelling for 12 to 48 hours after the procedure, similar to a mild sunburn. We recommend keeping the skin clean, staying well-hydrated, and avoiding direct sun exposure and heavy exercise for the first few days while your skin settles.
