Chemical Peels

Unveiling Smoother Skin Through Clear, Medically Managed Exfoliation

Almost any skin concern—from a dull complexion and fine lines to active acne, rough texture, and sun damage—can be gently addressed with chemical exfoliation. At U Skin Clinic, we do not promise overnight miracles; instead, we offer a structured, deliberate approach to removing layers of dead and damaged skin cells, allowing your skin to naturally renew itself.  A chemical peel can be performed as a standalone treatment, but we often combine it with other targeted therapies to support your skin's health and enhance your overall results.

Chemical Peels at a Glance

What to Expect During & After the Procedure

The treatment itself is straightforward. After thoroughly cleansing and preparing your skin, the bespoke chemical solution is carefully applied.

During the application, it is entirely normal to feel a stinging or burning sensation. For most individuals, this warmth peaks and subsides within 5 to 20 minutes. We monitor your skin closely throughout the entire process to ensure both safety and comfort.

Aftercare & Recovery

Your skin will be temporarily more sensitive to the environment—especially sunlight—after any peel. We will provide you with a simple, practical aftercare regime and clear advice on how to protect your skin effectively.

Makeup: For light peels, makeup can generally be applied the following day. For medium peels, cosmetics can usually be introduced after 5 to 7 days once the initial peeling phase has settled.

Follow-up: We invite our clients for a quick follow-up visit to track progress and ensure the skin is healing beautifully.

FAQs

Are the results permanent?

While chemical peels significantly improve the texture and tone of your skin, the results are not permanent. Natural ageing and new exposure to the elements will eventually cause new fine lines or discolouration. Consistent maintenance and daily sun protection are key to preserving your results.

What are the risks or side effects?

With a light peel, side effects are minimal and usually limited to temporary redness, dryness, and minor irritation. Medium peels naturally involve more swelling, puffiness, and visible peeling. We will discuss all potential risks openly with you during your initial consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
